Male Short-hair Domestic Short Hair Mix Guinea Pig
I've been adopted!
Ian is a young male guinea pig with a gentle nature and a big love for tasty treats and fresh green grass. He's a sweet little character who enjoys his food and will happily wheek in excitement when he knows something yummy is coming his way. Ian has previously experienced a condition called bumblefoot, so he will need a home that can provide soft, supportive flooring-no wire-bottom enclosures-to keep his feet comfortable and healthy.
Ian can live either indoors or outdoors, but his new family will need to take extra care with his environment. In Tasmania's climate, guinea pigs are sensitive to temperature extremes, with an ideal range of around 18-22°C, and they must be protected from heat, cold, and predators such as cats. For this reason, many carers find indoor housing or a very secure, shaded outdoor setup works best. With the right care and a safe, comfortable space, Ian will make a delightful little companion.
