About Butternut Snap
Butternut Snap requires the following in her new home:
- A confident, playful desexed male dog, not senior or puppy.
- Ongoing training with manners, walking on lead and toilet training, just normal puppy training.
- A securely fenced yard to play and romp in.
- To have the option of being inside when her people are home and to sleep at night.
- A home where no one has mobility issues, as she runs in and out form under your feet.
- No long road trips planned, she gets car sick at the moment (she may or may not grow out of it)
- No children under 10 living in the home.
Butternut Snaps or Butter to those that love her, enjoys playing with other dogs more than anything. She will play chase with them and have a good wrestle. Butter is full of personality once she knows you but can be a little timid when meeting someone or another dog for the first time, until she realises that people have pats and cuddles to give and dogs will play with her.
When Butter isn’t playing with a dog she is a bit of a Velcro dog to her people. If she gets the chance she will have a snooze and cuddle on your lap, or better still around your neck. She has a habit of darting in and out and around you as you move around the house, so care needs to be taken. She can live in a home with children that are older than 10 years old.
She is a typical pup that will need ongoing training with manners, walking on lead and toilet training. She has a tendency to chew shoes while she is teething. Car travel isn’t Butters' favourite activity, she can become a little unwell and has vomited in the car, she seems to do better when she has a doggy friend in the car with her. Butter currently knows the commands “wees” (for when she has been taken outside for a toilet break) “in” (to do into her crate), “out” when she has something in her mouth she shouldn’t.
Butters quiet happily will sleep in her crate at night but loves the chance to come and have a cuddle on a lazy Sunday morning in bed with her people. During the day, if your knee isn’t available she will happily lay in the sun.
Butters is living with cats, she can show interest in them sometimes with a sniff or bark, but with slow, close supervised introductions she can live with them. She also has seen horses and alpacas through the fence and has shown little to no interest with them.
Butter can be a little timid at times but does well living with a confident dog to help show her the way and that new things are that scary.
Butternut Snap is due for her next vaccination on 24/4/26 at the new owners expense.
