Maverick is a gentle little soul with the sweetest, most easygoing nature. This lovely boy is as calm as they come—happy to sit back quietly and patiently wait for your affection, never causing a fuss and simply taking in the world around him.
The moment you speak to him or give him a little attention, Maverick’s motor starts up instantly, filling the room with the soft, comforting sound of his purrs. He absolutely adores love and will soak it up the second it’s offered, making him the perfect companion for someone looking for a calm, affectionate presence. 💕
One of Maverick’s most special features is his unique marking—a perfect little grey “Mickey Mouse” shape on his back, making him truly one of a kind and just that extra bit magical. ✨
With his gentle personality, loving heart, and adorable quirks, Maverick is the kind of boy who will quietly steal your heart and become your constant, comforting companion. 🐾💙

Rocky Roads is run completely by volunteers - as such sometimes we do not have the capacity to reply to every single application that comes through.
We understand that this may not be the best experience but we are working hard to ensure the people who give up their valuable time and lives to support the animals in our care are able to look after themselves and their families too.
Without them, there is no Rocky Roads Rescue.

~The Adoption Process~
⦿ Adoption enquiry comes through
⦿ One of the RR team will reach out to discuss the adoption process with you - we are volunteers, please allow time for us to reach out to you!
⦿ Meet and greet is organised and completed - you head home! 💚
⦿ Family chats to decide if this adoption is right for you!
⦿ Adoption fee is paid
⦿ Contracts are signed and returned to RR
⦿ Pick up your new family member
⦿ 2 week trial period - during this time you can call and text any questions, concerns, celebrations etc to us!
⦿ At the end of the 2 week trial period we send you desex certificates, vaccination certificates and the microchip will be submitted for transfer into your name
Please note that at Rocky Roads Rescue, we believe every kitten deserves the joy of companionship. To support their well-being and happiness, we generally do not adopt out single kittens. We encourage you to explore the concept of ‘single kitten syndrome’ to understand why having a furry friend is so important. Your new family member will thrive best with a feline buddy or a cat-friendly dog to share playtime and cuddles. However, on occasion, if a cats’s personality shows they prefer to be on their own, we may consider adopting them solo—this will be clearly specified in their adoption profile.
