Florence

Florence is a beautiful, inquisitive cat with a gentle confidence and a calm, observant nature. She is very people-oriented and enjoys being involved in whatever is happening around the home, often following her humans from room to room just to keep an eye on things and stay close.

From the moment she arrived in foster care, Florence settled in with ease and curiosity, quickly exploring her surroundings and showing an interest in being part of the household. She enjoys companionship and being near her people, and over time she has grown more confident in expressing affection on her own terms.

Florence is an affectionate cat, but she prefers to be the one who initiates contact. She is clear in her communication and will let you know when she is in the mood for pats, and just as clearly when she would rather have space. Once she has built trust, she becomes more relaxed and comfortable with closeness, and after a couple of weeks in foster care she even began choosing to curl up on laps on the couch.

She tends to be most active in the mornings and evenings, enjoying gentle bursts of energy, while the middle of the day is reserved for long, peaceful naps. While she is not especially toy-driven, she has shown growing interest in play, particularly with string toys as she has settled in.
