Otis

This is Otis, a sweet and sensitive pup searching for safety, patience, and a place to belong.

Otis is still finding his footing in a world that can feel big and overwhelming. New environments can make him unsure, and everyday things like the lead or sudden loud noises might cause him to jump, little glimpses into a past we may never fully understand. For such a young dog, he carries a sensitivity that suggests he hasn't always felt secure, but what truly shines through is his desire to connect.

Otis wants love, you can see it in the way he watches you, in the way he cautiously comes closer. He'll happily run after a ball with a spark of excitement, even if he's not quite sure what comes next. And while affection might make him pause at first, it doesn't take long (a few gentle pats, a soft voice) and suddenly he's leaning into you like you are his whole world, holding onto that moment of safety as long as he can.

Otis will do best in a calm, adult-only home with someone patient and committed to guiding him as he grows. He'll benefit from lots of positive experiences, to help teach him how wonderful the world is. He is okay with other dogs and may gain comfort from a new bestie, so please bring along all resident dogs to the meet and greet.

Beneath his sensitive moments Otis is a playful, big-hearted boy whose joyful, curious personality is starting to sparkle more and more each day. Otis gets adorable bursts of zoomy energy, and absolutely loves sharing them with his people.
