Lambo

At just 2 years old, Lambo is still figuring out the world, and doing it with a whole lot of energy and personality. He has come from a background of significant instability, and when he first arrived in our care it was clear he struggled with inconsistency in his life. Because of this, he is now looking for a very specific home environment where he can finally feel safe, secure, and understood.

Lambo is a high-energy, easily distracted young dog who finds it difficult to settle his focus for long periods. He is playful, busy, and thrives on stimulation .. he especially enjoys activities like digging in the sand pit and will benefit greatly from an outlet for his energy in a secure yard where he can run, explore, and decompress. Food can sometimes be a motivator for him, particularly when building trust and reinforcing positive experiences.

He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but with patience, calm handling, and treats, he begins to warm up and show his more relaxed, affectionate side. Once comfortable, he responds well to gentle guidance and structure, and he is continuing to work with our Behaviour Department to help him build confidence and emotional regulation skills.

Lambo will need an adults-only home with no other pets, where he can be the sole focus of attention and training. He requires an experienced and committed adopter who understands that he is still learning and will need ongoing support to continue his journey. His new family will also need to remain engaged with our Behaviour Department after adoption to ensure a smooth and successful transition into home life - we are here to help and support you!

Underneath his big energy and busy mind is a young dog who is trying his best to cope with a world that has often felt inconsistent. With stability, structure, patience, and the right guidance, Lambo has enormous potential to grow into a loyal, loving companion.
