About Cecil
At just 2 years old, Skip the Pomeranian is the definition of sweet and snuggly. This little fluffball is equal parts cuddle bug and loyal companion, and if you're looking for a dog who will happily become your personal lap warmer ... Skip is already perfectly qualified.
Skip has been thriving in foster care, where he's been stealing hearts everywhere he goes. His foster carer describes him as "a beautiful dog with a very gentle personality who is eager to please." He absolutely adores cuddles, head scratches, and, very importantly, food! (Treats are definitely the way to win him over.)
He's still learning the basics of home life, so he'll need a family willing to guide him with patience and kindness. He's working on his toilet training and hasn't quite mastered commands like "sit" yet, but he's a clever little boy who is keen to learn, especially if snacks are involved.
Skip is also a sensitive soul who forms strong bonds with his people. He can find it a little hard when his humans leave and may go searching for them, so he'd love a home where someone is around often or can help him build confidence over time.
One thing Skip is absolutely confident about? Other dogs! He is extremely dog social and thrives in their company. In fact, we would strongly encourage a home with another friendly dog, as he loves having a canine companion and even looks to them for guidance and reassurance.
As a long-haired boy, Skip will also need a committed adopter who can keep up with his grooming needs to keep him feeling comfortable, healthy, and looking his fluffy best.
At the end of the day, Skip is just a soft, loving little boy who wants to feel safe, adored, and close to his people (and doggy friends). With love, patience, and plenty of cuddles, he's going to blossom into the most devoted little companion.
Looking for a best friend (or a best friend for your current dog)? Skip is ready to fill that spot.
