Meet Queen Jelly Bean 👑🐾
True to her name, Queen Jelly Bean is a British Shorthair with quiet dignity and a soft, observant nature. She’s currently in foster care with multiple cats, and while she’s handling it gracefully, it’s not an environment where her full personality can truly shine.
Jelly Bean can be handled and picked up without fuss, showing she’s comfortable with people—but she doesn’t actively seek out attention right now. We suspect this is largely due to the busy, multi-cat setting, where more sensitive souls often take a step back.
In a calmer home, with patient humans and fewer competing personalities, we believe her true nature will begin to blossom. She may never be a velcro cat—but for the right person, there’s something incredibly special about earning the trust of a more reserved companion.
She could potentially live with other cats, but this would require a confident, experienced owner willing to manage slow, thoughtful introductions and respect her pace.
Jelly Bean’s ideal home:
Quiet, low-traffic environment
Cat-savvy adopter who understands shy or independent cats
Someone patient enough to let her come out of her shell in her own time
Possibly with other calm cats (with proper introductions), or as a solo queen

Adoption details
*Please only apply if you reside 4hrs from Shepparton
* You will have a list of questions sent that you need to answer and send back.
* (For dog applications) Photos are requested of your yard, the fencing and any undercover shelter areas (patio/pergola) that must be sent through along with answers to questions.
* It’s not first in best dressed and we pride ourselves in finding the perfect family home for the animals in our care and make sure each family finds the perfect animal as well.
* We feed our cats on Lifewise, bags are available to buy from us.
* We also offer a 2 week trial on all animals that are adopted from this rescue organisation, if returned during this time a refund less 10% is given.
* Meet and greets are always taken prior to adoption, on the day if all goes well and you are happy, you can adopt on the spot and take your animal home to begin the next chapter together. We don't offer more than 1 meet and greet.
*All animals listed on our petrescue page are available for adoption until the moment they are removed
