Vixx – Gentle Soul Looking for Her Forever Home

Meet Vixx, a sweet, soft-natured girl who quickly falls in love with everyone she meets. She’s currently living peacefully alongside a grumpy cat and back yard chooks, and is learning all about the world one paw-step at a time. Vixx comes to work with her foster mum and spends her days greeting both dogs and people with a constantly wagging tail. She can be a little submissive when meeting other dogs, as she’s still building confidence and finding her place.

Vixx is toilet trained, sleeps quietly through the night in her crate (her safe space), and travels well in the car—now even hopping in on her own and sitting calmly, although she’s not quite a fan of open windows yet. Vixx walks beautifully on the lead, and prefers a relaxed “sniffer stroll” over long-distance adventures. She’s just starting to discover toys and how to play. Vixx is a true shadow dog—whatever you’re doing, she wants to be part of it. Whether it’s gardening, cooking, or cleaning windows, she’ll be right there as your little helper. Her perfect day would be spent snuggled under a blanket close to her people.

With her long legs comes a little extra reach, so anything left within range—like a steak on the table—might not be safe. She’s not naughty, just clever and curious, so a bit of management and ongoing training will go a long way.

She’s a smart girl who enjoys short training sessions and sniff games for mental stimulation, already knowing sit, stay, wait, and leave it. Vixx would do best in a home where people are around most of the time, with a calm and patient environment as she continues to build confidence. She will also need a friendly dog companion to help guide her, as she’s not yet confident being on her own. Due to her still learning not to jump up when excited, a home without young children would be best for now.
