About Senior Constable Bork
🐾 Meet Senior Constable Bork 🐾
Almost 4-year-old German Shepherd | Distinguished Good Boy | On Duty for Love
Reporting for duty is Senior Constable Bork, an almost 4‑year‑old German Shepherd boy with ears permanently set to alert and a heart that's bigger than his patrol zone. True to his breed, Bork is intelligent, loyal, and takes his job very seriously-at least at first. When you meet him, expect a thorough inspection. Everyone is a suspect initially. IDs may be checked. Vibes will be assessed.
But once you're cleared? Oh, you're in.
Bork transforms from no‑nonsense officer to playful goofball who's keen for jokes, zoomies, and a good romp through long grass like he's chasing down the notorious Schmako Gang (repeat offenders, very sneaky, smell amazing). He's brave, confident, and would absolutely thrive with another canine cadet-one happy to follow his lead and have his back during high‑stakes snack‑related shootouts.
As a classic German Shepherd, Bork brings all the best traits:
Fiercely loyal to his people
Smart and quick to learn
Naturally protective without being over the top
Thrives on routine, engagement, and having a "job"
Deeply affectionate once trust is earned
Bork would be best suited to a home without young kids. Teenagers or older humans who understand personal space and a family with breed experience would suit him perfectly.
A confident dog sibling? Even better.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
