About Maple
Name: Maple
Kelpie BC x
6.5 years
Looking for a loyal, energetic family dog who will thrive as your one and only devoted companion? Maple is an exceptionally smart, quick-learning typical Kelpie who is beautifully behaved both indoors and out. She loves nothing more than playtime with her family whether it's chasing a ball, tugging a rope, or entertaining herself with her favorite toys.
Her many pros:
· Extremely intelligent and fast to learn new routines
· Calm, respectful, and well-mannered inside the home and in the yard
· Playful, toy-driven, and full of fun energy
· Deeply loving and attentive to her owner/s
· No sign of food aggression with people or other dogs
· Will ignore other dogs barking at her from behind fences when asked
· Has formed positive, playful friendships with dogs in calm home settings- but needs to be carefully introduced .
The honest reality: Maple is aloof with strangers but completely dedicated to her person and family. She shows jealousy toward other dogs when her owner is near, and can be reactive on leash to medium or large dogs. She is not safe with cats or birds .
Ideal home: Maple would be perfectly content as your only dog with a good-sized yard to burn off energy. She doesn't seek out canine company and doesn't need it—she just needs you, plenty of play, and clear, confident leadership.
When you do walk her, she needs clear, calm tactics (redirecting, firm "no," muzzle if in busy places.
With consistency, Maple responds beautifully and continues to be a loving, playful companion.
Maple needs an experienced, confident owner. No first-time dog owners, no homes with other dogs, no cats, no poultry or birds. If you want a brilliantly loyal, toy-obsessed shadow who will adore you completely—and you're ready to manage her challenges honestly. Maple is waiting.
