😃 Maki is a happy girl through and through. While she can be a little shy at first, it doesn’t take much more than a quick game to turn her into your best friend. Once she knows you, she’ll be your shadow—happily following you around the house just to see what you’re up to or sitting quietly by your side while you work. ✍️

​The Ultimate Playmate.

🐾 Maki has a zest for life! Her favourite activities include classic games like fetch and hide-and-seek. She also loves water fun—if you are watering the plants, she will be right there trying to catch the water from the hose. She loves a good bird-chase, but she is highly obedient. No matter how excited she is, she listens immediately when you tell her to stop. 🛑

​Social and Smart.

🐶 She is very well-behaved around other dogs. If she starts barking or is unsure whilst interacting, she will leave it and come back to you the moment you call her name. She truly listens and wants to please her humans. 🥹

​Health and Habits.

💪 Maki is very clean and in good health. She isn't very food-motivated and is actually great at controlling her diet; she won't finish a bowl of food unless she is truly hungry. However, she does have a special love for sardines! 🐟

​The Perfect Match.

💛 Maki is a sensitive soul who loves to be near her people. She can feel anxious when left alone for a few hours. Because of this, she would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time to keep her company and will be patient in helping her feel comfortable being left home for short periods. 🏡

🐥 While under the care of Willow Tree Sanctuary, our dogs are desexed (at the right age) microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested (6 months+), treated monthly for parasites and have any other necessary vet treatment required.

Note: We recommend all pups and their adopters attend puppy and obedience training to give them the opportunity to become the best versions of themselves 🙌
