About Bruce
Bruce is a desexed male Ragdoll available for adoption in Brendale (Moreton Bay Region, QLD).
Bruce has quietly perfected the art of devoted companionship.
He's independent enough to sleep the day away without needing entertainment — and present enough to follow you from room to room the moment you're home.
That balance is rare, and the people who appreciate it will recognise it straight away.
He's sociable in the way that suits most households well: not demanding, not distant. Bruce settles himself nearby, moves when you move, and communicates with the kind of quiet confidence that only comes from a cat who knows exactly who his people are.
Once he's bonded with you, he shows it every day — daily headbutts hello, a warm presence on the bed at night, a gentle voice that talks back when you speak to him.
A little about Bruce:
🐾 Affectionate headbutts are his daily hello — a small ritual that becomes something you look forward to
🐾 He'll follow you around the house throughout the day and happily share your bed at night
🐾 A natural communicator — he talks back to the people he loves
🐾 His cat tower by the window is his favourite spot: he watches the world outside, scratches, and naps in the sun
🐾 Happy to entertain himself — he sleeps 16 to 18 hours a day and plays independently when the mood takes him
A typical day for Bruce runs at a beautiful, unhurried pace. Two meals, several long naps, a stretch up the cat tower, and a good look at whatever's happening outside.
When you're home, he's with you — padding after you, room to room, settling near you on the couch, appearing at the bedroom door come evening.
He's a companionable presence without being clingy, and that's the thing people who've known him tend to appreciate most.
Bruce takes his time with new people — and when he comes around, you'll feel like you've genuinely earned something. He observes from a comfortable distance first, and once he's decided you're worth his trust, he gives it fully.
Bruce would flourish in a calm, indoor home where life moves at a steady pace. He suits apartment living well and doesn't need outdoor access or a large space — what he values is consistency, quiet, and the presence of people he trusts.
A home where he's the only pet is where you'll see the best of him. With a space fully his own, he relaxes completely — and that's when the headbutts really start.
A patient, unhurried welcome will go a long way when Bruce first arrives. Give him the space to come to you, and he will.
Picture a quiet Sunday morning: Bruce stretched across the bed, catching the early light. He lifts his head when you stir, pads over, and bumps his forehead into yours before settling back down.
That's most days. Unhurried, warm, entirely his own.
There's a calm home out there that's exactly right for Bruce — and he'll make it very clear when he's found it.
FAQ
Is Bruce good with children?
Bruce tends to connect best with adults — a quieter household where he can choose when and how he interacts will bring out the best in him.
Does Bruce need a lot of attention?
He's wonderfully self-sufficient — he'll happily sleep the day away and entertain himself when you're busy. When you're home, he'll find you, and that daily connection is genuinely lovely.
Can Bruce live with other pets?
A home where he's the only pet is where he'll thrive — that's where you'll see him most relaxed and most himself. He hasn't lived with another cat before, so a solo home is the right fit all round.
How long will it take Bruce to settle in?
Every cat moves at their own pace, and Bruce is no different. A quiet first few days and a calm welcome is all he needs — after that, the headbutts tend to follow pretty quickly.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
