Meet Buckley 🐾
🐶 Personality:
Buckley is a big softie with a lovely nature. He enjoys the company of other dogs and has done really well meeting and walking alongside them. He can be a little standoffish with new people and will need time to build trust and confidence with his new family.
Buckley is not suitable for a home with young children. He is best suited to adults who understand dogs and can provide him with clear, consistent guidance.
🎓 Training:
Buckley has recently spent time with a professional dog trainer and has made great progress. He walks nicely on lead, has good manners and is comfortable walking past other dogs and people. He has also been doing well greeting other dogs.
He is toilet trained, uses a doggy door and knows some basic obedience. He will need his training to continue in his new home with consistent boundaries and positive reinforcement.
Buckley has shown resource guarding of food and high-value items towards other dogs, so his new family will need to be comfortable managing this appropriately.
🏠 Perfect Home:
Buckley is looking for an experienced home without young children. He could suit a home with another compatible dog, provided his new family understands his resource guarding and is committed to managing it appropriately.
Buckley will be handed over to his new family by his trainer, who will also be available to provide ongoing guidance and support as he settles into his new home.
He has worked hard with his training and is ready for a home that will continue setting him up for success with structure, consistency and patience. 🐾

~I will need additional vet work in my life time such as follow up
vaccinations etc, is this a problem?
~I will also need flea and worm treatments to keep me at my
optimum health, are you prepared for that?
~I've had a diet since being at the rescue of quality biscuits, can you guarantee to continue my current diet?
~ I am a good 10-20 years commitment are you 100% ready to
give me a home?

~A yard check or photographic proof of secure fencing, shelter & sleeping areas will be required.
~Written agreement is required by your landlord/real estate for rental properties. A rates notice is required for homeowners.
~A vet reference may be required.
