About Ginny
Meet Ginny, a lovely Cocker Spaniel with a heart full of love and a gentle disposition. At approximately 5 years old and weighing in at a petite 11 kg, Ginny is the perfect companion for those seeking a balanced blend of affection and playfulness. Her endearing nature and expressive eyes will surely win you over from the moment you lay eyes on her.
Ginny walks exceptionally well on a lead, making her an excellent partner for leisurely strolls through the park or invigorating adventures on nearby trails. Her recall is reliable, and she generally gets along with other dogs, though don't be surprised if she gently puts a dog in its place if it gets a little too enthusiastic around her. Despite a shy demeanor at first, Ginny quickly warms up, revealing a profound adoration for people. She’s never shown aggression towards humans, embodying kindness and serenity.
It's important to note that Ginny has specific medical needs, she has had a back leg removed, and her new family should be committed to understanding and managing her health requirements to ensure she leads a happy, comfortable life.
In essence, Ginny is a beautiful little dog looking for a family who appreciates her endearing qualities and can provide her with the affection and care she wholeheartedly deserves. Are you ready to give Ginny the loving home she’s been waiting for?
Medical notes
Ginny has had a dental scale and clean
She has also had her back left leg removed as recommended by the vet. Her patella (kneecap) was abnormal and she had abnormal bone growth in that area.
Ginny is a beautiful Cocker Spaniel who has recently had one of her back legs surgically removed. She has recovered well and is learning to adapt, but she will need a committed and understanding home that can support her ongoing needs.
We are looking for a very special family for Ginny — not someone drawn to her simply because she is a three-legged dog, and not someone acting out of sympathy alone. She deserves a home that truly understands the breed and is prepared for the responsibility.
Ideally, her new family will have experience with Cocker Spaniels and a good understanding of their temperament, care, and energy levels. Experience with dogs who have additional needs or mobility differences would be highly valued.
Ginny is still very much a dog who wants love, routine, and a stable environment. With the right home, she will continue to thrive and live a happy, fulfilling life.
If you believe you can offer Ginny the knowledgeable, committed, and loving home she deserves, we would love to hear from you.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
