About Yam
Open to meet kids of all ages
Only dog in the home (For Now)
Softest boy ever!
This Sweet Potato is ready to lay down some roots.
He is exactly what his name would suggest, this big, soft, squishy snack with a Heart of Gold is serving up comfort food feels wherever he goes.
Yam is a typical Staffy through and through, he is affectionate with a heart that rivals the size of his massive head and would love nothing more than to be your fulltime Staffy shaped shadow, personal space isn't a part of this recipe as his main ingredient is Affection.
Whilst he's a social spud with people, when it comes to dogs, he still needs a little seasoning.
He is learning his social skills but would be best as an only dog for now!
If you're ready for a boofhead boy who throws his whole heart (and body) into loving you, Yam is ready to come barrelling into your life like the Potato shaped wrecking ball he is.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
