The two great loves in Scouts life are Food and Affection, preferably at the same time... And because all good things come in threes he's hoping you could be the third!
He's headstrong, happy and full of heart.
Although he can come across a little shy at first he's a boisterous boy with a big heart, he loves his snacks, loves a good routine and loves being involved in anything and everything you might have going on.
He is open to meeting dogs however he is still refining his manners so would need a calm, confident dog to help him adjust.
His most adorable trick is how he can beg on cue, he can sit up like a meerkat, hold the pose looking oh so proud of himself whilst doing so... that is until the moment you decide to brag about it.

The moment the words leave your lips Scout forgets how his legs work and his new favorite trick is staring at you like he's never learnt a thing in his life which somehow just makes him all the more endearing.
This Scout has earnt his badges in begging, tail wagging and advanced snack locating.
So If a best mate who's full of love, full of character and is just a bit selective of when and where he shows of his talents sounds like your kind of adventure your search is over!
Scout is ready to survey the land, claim the couch and finally set up a forever home-base.

• All adoptions must go through our Council website - so head over there!
• Search for the animal you are interested in by typing their name or impound number in the search bar
• Read through their profile & click the red button which says 'Submit an Expression of Interest'
• Next, we'll reach out to you
• If all goes well, we'll discuss the next steps and a meet & greet!
With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C5 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
The adoption fee for cats covers F3 vaccination, health check, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
