Hi there… I’m Big Ted. And yes — the name fits. I’m not just Ted… I’m Big Ted. Tall, solid, and built like the ultimate cuddle companion. Think of me as your life-sized teddy bear, except I purr, chat back, and occasionally demand snacks.

Nature
I absolutely love people. Big, small, tiny (especially tiny, I live with a baby and she’s my little, best mate). I’m gentle, patient, and always nearby, keeping a watchful eye like the big soft guardian I am. If you’ve got hands, they should be patting me. That’s just the rules.

I’m a big fan of being carried too, yep, all of me. Don’t let my size fool you, I’ll happily melt into your arms like a giant plush toy. The bigger the cuddle, the better.

You’ll often find me perched up high on my cat tower, surveying my kingdom like the gentle giant king I am. I like to chat while I’m up there too, little chirps, meows, full conversations really. I’ve got a lot to say and I expect you to listen.

If you’re looking for a huge, affectionate, people-loving teddy bear who just happens to be a cat, I’m your guy.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I’d thrive in a home with babies or children, I’m great with them! I can be a bit of a runner with the door though, so it’s essential that if you have kids, they are good at closing the door!

Other cats? No worries at all. I’m a social guy and get along great with my fellow felines.

Dogs though… ehhh, not really my vibe. I prefer a calmer, more refined household (with plenty of pats, obviously).

Likes / Dislikes
I love being part of the family and HATE being left out! I’ll cry and cry until you let me join you.

I love to sleep on the bed and follow my Foster Mum literally every where she goes.

My PURR-fect home would be with a person or family who is home often and wants a cuddle companion. I’d love an indoor only home where I can safely snuggle in bed with you and sit by your side on the couch, or whilst you work!

Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.

If you would like to apply to adopt Big Ted please come and meet him at Bunnings Baldivis this Saturday from 10am until 4pm. He will be ready to go home with the first suitable family.
