Little Brother & Big Sister

Meet Ronnie and Theo, a truly special bonded pair and the ultimate big-sister / little-brother double act looking for their forever home. They may not be related by blood, but they operate exactly like a classic big sister and little brother.

Theo and Ronnie were deeply loved by their previous cat mum. Demanding work commitments and the possibility of moving overseas meant she could no longer give them the consistent presence they deserve, so she made the selfless decision to find them a home where they can feel safe and cherished every single day.

Ronnie, 9-year-old beautiful grey girl, is the confident, curious, and endlessly loving big sister of the duo. She’s the first one out of the carrier, the first one to claim your lap, and the first one to decide which sunny spot or soft bed is the best in the house (spoiler: it’s usually yours).

Sweet-natured and steady, she adores chin and head scratches, long cuddles, and being gently picked up and held. She spends a good portion of her day peacefully sleeping, yet somehow always knows when you need quiet company. True to big-sister form, she has a soft maternal streak when it comes to Theo and looks out for him with protective care.

Theo, the 7-year-old fluffy ginger boy, is the adorable little brother. He can be quite shy when he first arrives somewhere new, but once he feels safe his true personality blossoms into pure smoochy gold. He looks up to Ronnie the way little brothers do, she is his source of confidence and comfort.

The moment Ronnie shows him that a new place or person is okay, Theo comes out of hiding and starts following her around like a little orange shadow. He’s energetic, curious, chatty in the most sassy way, and loves exploring, playing, and weaving himself into whatever his humans (and his big sister) are doing. Belly rubs, head scratches and cuddles are his love language once he trusts you.

Their dynamic is pure sibling magic. Ronnie occasionally dishes out that classic grumpy-big-sister energy when Theo is glued to her side for the hundredth time that day… but it never lasts long. Within minutes they’re back to grooming each other, curling up together, and sharing the best sleeping spots. Watching them interact is genuinely heartwarming.

Both cats absolutely adore people and are incredibly affectionate. They are wonderfully low-maintenance, happy to relax, cuddle, and simply be near their humans, which makes them perfect for a calm, stable home.

They would be ideal for a pair of retirees who each want a soft cat on their lap, or for a family looking for gentle, loving companions who don’t demand constant entertainment.

They are currently living with their amazing foster family in Southbank, where Ronnie continues to lead the way and Theo continues to follow right behind her.

Both are desexed, microchipped and vaccinated and otherwise healthy.

About Us

Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.

Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.

Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.

As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.

All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.

Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
