About Winnie
🐾 MEET WINNIE — your adventure buddy, cuddle shadow & sunshine in dog form ☀️🐾
Winnie is a 2 years old Cavoodle
Winnie weighs roughly 10kg and is full of love & energy
Winnie is the kind of dog who doesn’t just want to be part of your life… she wants to be right there in it with you — every step, every cuddle, every little moment 💛
She’s happy, affectionate, and full of life — the perfect mix of playful adventure buddy and devoted companion. Whether it’s a beach trip, a long walk, or just hanging out at home, Winnie is all in… as long as she’s with you.
🐾 Winnie’s Story
Winnie came into care after needing a fresh start, and she’s now ready to find a home where she can truly settle, feel secure, and be loved as part of the family she so clearly wants to belong to 💕
🐶 The Important Stuff
✔️ Toilet trained
✔️ Learning to use a doggy door
✔️ Walks beautifully on lead
✔️ Great with other dogs (all sizes)
✔️ Gentle with children (toddlers through to teens in brief interactions)
✔️ Cat tested — but will chase, so not suitable for homes with cats or small animals
🐶 Personality & Lifestyle
Winnie is an energetic, happy girl who absolutely loves her outings — beach days, walks (she can easily handle 5km!), and little adventures are her favourite things.
At home, she’s all about connection. Her favourite place? Wherever her human is.
She does have a tendency to bark at unfamiliar noises — especially things like street activity or the occasional “suspicious” man in dark clothes or a beard (Winnie clearly has standards 😌).
🐾 Her Perfect Home
Winnie would thrive in a home where:
💛 Someone is home often or able to include her in daily life
💛 She’s treated as part of the family — she’s not a “leave me alone” kind of girl
💛 There’s structure and patience as she continues improving her confidence when alone
💛 An active lifestyle is welcomed — she loves getting out and about
She can happily live as an only dog or with a friendly companion.
💛 The Heart of Winnie
Winnie loves deeply.
She bonds quickly.
And she just wants to be near her person — her safe place.
She does have some separation anxiety, which is already improving, but she’ll need a home willing to continue supporting her as she builds confidence. In return, you’ll get a dog who will adore you with her whole heart.
✨ Winnie isn’t just looking for a home — she’s looking for her person.
The one she can follow from room to room… the one she can adventure with… the one she can curl up beside at the end of the day.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, slightly clingy (in the best way) best friend…
Winnie might just be your girl 💛🐾

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption - each bio will state if available for adoption - please check before applying.
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
