Billy is a beautiful Russian Blue cross with the softest presence and the most gentle, searching eyes. He’s the kind of cat who doesn’t ask for much, just a quiet space, a kind heart, and someone willing to see him for who he truly is.
His journey hasn’t been an easy one. Once a scared, unsure boy trying to navigate life on the streets, Billy has come such a long way. With time, care, and patience, he’s begun to show the sweet soul that’s been there all along - a sensitive, gentle companion who just wants to feel safe.
Billy lives with idiopathic cystitis, a stress-related condition, which means a calm, low-stress home is essential for him to truly thrive. He also has FIV, but he is otherwise healthy and can live a long, happy life. What he needs most isn’t perfection - it’s stability, understanding, and someone who will give him the time he deserves.
He takes his daily medication easily tucked into a treat (which he never says no to - he’s quite the little foodie). You’ll often find him quietly nearby, watching the world with those big, expressive eyes, or appearing hopefully at the sound of the kitchen. Recently, he’s even started to show his playful side, enjoying gentle play and finding the confidence to hop up onto the bed to be close.
Once Billy feels settled, his gentle nature truly shines through. He isn’t a lap cat, but he shows his affection in quiet, meaningful ways like choosing to rest nearby on his own bed, keeping you company simply by being close. There’s something incredibly special about earning Billy’s trust, watching him soften, and seeing the sweet soul beneath his shy exterior begin to emerge.
He enjoys soft head, chin, and back pats when he feels safe, and those small moments of connection feel incredibly special - like little wins that mean everything. Billy would be happiest in a calm home, ideally with someone around more often than not, and he can also live with gentle, non-intrusive cats who will respect his space.
He may be shy at first, but it’s only because he’s still learning that the world can be kind. With patience, that fear slowly melts away, and what you’re left with is a deeply loyal, quietly loving companion.
💙 Billy isn’t the kind of cat you fall in love with instantly - he’s the kind you fall in love with forever.
If you can offer him patience, kindness, and a peaceful place to land, you won’t just be giving him a home… you’ll be giving him the life he’s always deserved.

Adoption details
Adopting with Kittie Kat Rescue Inc.
Bringing a new pet into your home is a long-term commitment—both emotionally and financially. Cats can live 15 to 20 years, so it's essential that all family members are prepared to provide love, shelter, and a safe environment for their lifetime. This includes premium nutrition, regular veterinary care, and ensuring they are kept indoors only or have access to a secure, cat-proof outdoor enclosure.
Our Adoption Process:
-Initial Contact & Questionnaire. We’ll start by sending you our adoption questionnaire via email or text message. This helps us understand your home environment and what you're looking for in a feline companion.
-Video Tour. We will require a video tour of your home, focusing on safety features such as secure screens on windows, doors and balconies. Plus, we’d love to see where your new kitty will be set up in their new home!
-Meet & Greet with the Foster Carer. Once your application is complete and approved, we’ll arrange a time for you to meet the cat with their foster carer.
-Adoption & Bringing Your Cat Home. In some cases, if your application is approved and the cat has completed all their vet work, they can go home with you straight after the meet and greet (an adoption fee is payable). Adoption paperwork will follow.
-Settling-In Period & Adoption Finalisation. Every adoption includes a two-week settling-in period from the time of adoption. If, for any reason, your new cat isn’t the right fit for your home, you can return them within this period for a 50% refund of the adoption fee.
-All of our cats come microchipped, desexed, with one or more vaccinations, and will be lifetime registered. Depending on their age, kittens may need their second (and potentially third) vaccination undertaken by the adopter after adoption. The transfer of ownership is completed as soon as possible.
Adoption fees:
-Kittens: $350
-Cats 1 - 3 Years: $275
-Cats 3 Years+: $200
All adoptions will also carry a lifetime registration/admin fee of $50 on top of the above adoption price.
