About Billy
🐾 Meet Billy – A Gentle Soul Looking for a Safe Place to Land 🐾
Name of Cat: Billy
Microchip Number: 991003002917997
Date of Birth: ~July 2018
Gender: Male
Colour: Grey & White
Breed: Russian Blue Cross
Foster Carer Suburb: Cooranbong, Lake Macquarie
Billy is a beautiful Russian Blue cross with the softest nature and the kindest eyes. Once a frightened boy trying to survive on the streets, Billy has come an incredibly long way and is now searching for a peaceful forever home where he can finally relax and feel safe. 💙
Billy can be a little shy when meeting new people, but with patience and kindness, his gentle personality begins to shine. He isn't a demanding cat and doesn't need to be the centre of attention. Instead, he shows his affection in quiet, meaningful ways, choosing to sit nearby, keeping you company, and leaning into gentle head, chin, and back scratches once he trusts you.
He has idiopathic cystitis, a stress-related condition, so he'll thrive in a calm, predictable home. Billy takes his daily Clomicalm medication to manage this and is easily hidden in a tasty treat (which he's always happy to accept). He is otherwise a healthy, content boy. He's even started discovering the joy of playtime and enjoys quietly watching the world from a cosy spot before hopping onto the bed to be close to his people.
Billy is also FIV positive, but this does not stop him from living a long, happy, healthy life. FIV is primarily spread through deep bite wounds, meaning the risk of transmission in a peaceful, indoor multi-cat household is extremely low. Billy can happily live with calm, friendly FIV negative cats who respect his space.
There is something incredibly special about earning Billy's trust. Watching his confidence grow and seeing his gentle heart emerge is one of the most rewarding experiences you could ask for.

Adoption details
Adopting with Kittie Kat Rescue Inc.
Bringing a new pet into your home is a long-term commitment—both emotionally and financially. Cats can live 15 to 20 years, so it's essential that all family members are prepared to provide love, shelter, and a safe environment for their lifetime. This includes premium nutrition, regular veterinary care, and ensuring they are kept indoors only or have access to a secure, cat-proof outdoor enclosure.
Our Adoption Process:
-Initial Contact & Questionnaire. We’ll start by sending you our adoption questionnaire via email or text message. This helps us understand your home environment and what you're looking for in a feline companion.
-Video Tour. We will require a video tour of your home, focusing on safety features such as secure screens on windows, doors and balconies. Plus, we’d love to see where your new kitty will be set up in their new home!
-Meet & Greet with the Foster Carer. Once your application is complete and approved, we’ll arrange a time for you to meet the cat with their foster carer.
-Adoption & Bringing Your Cat Home. In some cases, if your application is approved and the cat has completed all their vet work, they can go home with you straight after the meet and greet (an adoption fee is payable). Adoption paperwork will follow.
-Settling-In Period & Adoption Finalisation. Every adoption includes a two-week settling-in period from the time of adoption. If, for any reason, your new cat isn’t the right fit for your home, you can return them within this period for a 50% refund of the adoption fee.
-All of our cats come microchipped, desexed, with one or more vaccinations, and will be lifetime registered. Depending on their age, kittens may need their second (and potentially third) vaccination undertaken by the adopter after adoption. The transfer of ownership is completed as soon as possible.
Adoption fees:
-Kittens: $350
-Cats 1 - 3 Years: $275
-Cats 3 Years+: $200
All adoptions will also carry a lifetime registration/admin fee of $50 on top of the above adoption price.
