About Wally
Hi, I’m Wally,
Shepherd’s Lantern Rescue busted me out of a rural pound. Now I’m ready to find my forever family and start exploring the world by your side.
I’m a Border Collie x (with a little something bigger mixed in), which means I’m smart, active, and always up for an adventure. I absolutely love other dogs — even when a grumpy old Frenchie was having a go at me, I just sat down and wagged my tail. I’m not interested in conflict… I’d much rather be everyone’s friend.
Food? Oh yes — I’m a bit of a treat connoisseur. I already know how to sit, and I’m working on my “shake” like a clever boy. I really enjoy learning.
Because my life before rescue was a bit sheltered, I’m still figuring out how big and exciting the world can be. Things like cars or branches falling can make me a little unsure on walks, but with love, patience, and confidence from my humans, I know I’ll become unstoppable.
I’ve spent time around a small child and loved the company, but I’m still learning my manners, so I’d be best suited to a home with children aged 5 and up.
I’ve also discovered I have a bit of a soft spot for water, and when I get excited, I get the cutest bursts of zoomies, guaranteed to make you laugh.
If you’re looking for a gentle, happy boy who just wants to love, learn, and be part of your world… I’m right here waiting ❤️
