About Luna
Luna is a female domestic cat available for adoption in Gosford (Central Coast, NSW).
Luna is a cat who knows exactly what she wants from a day, and it starts with sunshine.
She spends her mornings stretched across a warm balcony spot, moving from nap to nap with the easy confidence of a cat completely at home in her own life.
Luna is not a cat who needs constant company to feel content.
But the moment you walk through the door, she is there, chirping and trilling her own version of hello before you have even put your bag down.
A little about Luna:
🐾 Greets you at the door with a chirp and a trill, her own personal hello
🐾 Treats are serious business, and back scratches are considered essential
🐾 A soft blanket is her favourite napping spot, though a warm lap comes a close second
🐾 Loves an afternoon play session, especially with the right toy involved
🐾 Has shared a home with another cat before and settled into that easily
Luna's days follow a gentle rhythm.
Breakfast, a long stretch in the sun, a few well earned naps, and a burst of playful energy once the light starts to fade.
With familiar faces, Luna is warm and tactile.
She will rub against your legs, ask for a scratch along her back, and occasionally decide your lap belongs to her. A slow blink and a rumbling purr often follow, her way of letting you know you have passed the test.
New visitors get her full attention, just on a slight delay.
She likes to take stock first, often from a nearby vantage point, before deciding a closer look is worth her while, and a little patience is quickly rewarded.
Luna would flourish in a calm indoor home with a window perch or balcony to call her own. It is where she does her best people watching, and her best thinking.
She is looking for people who enjoy a companion who gives affection generously, just on her own schedule, and who will appreciate a cat with a strong sense of self.
A home with another settled, easygoing cat could suit her nicely too, given her track record.
Picture coming home to a chirpy greeting before the lights are even on.
Later, Luna finds her spot on the couch beside you, tucks in against your leg, and stays there for the rest of the night, quietly glad you're home.
Luna suits someone who loves the quiet reward of being chosen by a cat who has already decided you are worth coming home to.
FAQ
Is Luna good with other cats?
She has shared a home with a younger, easygoing cat, with plenty of mutual respect and the occasional shared play session. A calm feline companion would likely suit her well.
Does Luna need a lot of attention?
She's the kind of cat who's happy to run her own day, then looks for her people once evening rolls around, so a household that enjoys that wind down time is a great match.
What is she like with visitors?
She likes to take stock of new people first. Give her the space to approach in her own time, and you will find her close by before the visit is over.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
