NAME: Simba

Nicknames: Simby, Sims

BEFORE RESCUE: Came to SAFE Esperance from the pound

PERSONALITY: He’s scared initially but once he’s comfortable in his surroundings, he laps up affection and is adventurous, playful and curious. He had minimal interaction with people before coming into foster care and has quickly learned that humans are nice, especially when they have food for him!

FAVOURITE THINGS: Simba is a typical kitten with bursts of playful energy. He loves to play with toy mice and spring toys. He also enjoys ping pong balls and plays excellent football with his sibling and foster carer. He’s still learning that strokes are nice and has been recently introduced to the brush which he seemed to enjoy.

OTHER ANIMALS: He gets on well with the other cats in his foster home and could live with either other cats or a friendly, cat-savvy dog after gentle, supervised introductions.

GENERAL INFO: Simba is microchipped and vaccinated. He is flea and worm treated and is litter trained and very clean.

ESSENTIALS for Simba:

** A loving home where he’s given time initially to settle in and get comfortable, then gets plenty of attention but is treated gently. He will be frightened initially so his new owner will need to be patient with him for the first few weeks after adoption until he settles in. He would go well with gentle children who will interact with him daily as he loves to play. He will also need regular brushing to keep his long fur and beautiful bushy tail in check.

**Simba needs to be kept as an inside only cat or have access to a secure outside cat run.

ADOPTION FEE – $435
Adoption fee includes vet check, sterilisation, first f3 vaccination, flea and worm treatment and microchip, including the transfer of ownership.

ADOPTION DETAILS

After applying, one of our SAFE coordinators will be in touch to arrange for you to meet with the cat/kitten or to talk to their carer for more information.

Our adoption process includes a two-week trial to ensure your chosen pet is the right fit for your home. After a successful trial period, SAFE Esperance will arrange transfer of ownership on your new pet’s microchip and email copies of their vet records out to you.
