About Clyde
Hi! I’m Clyde!
I’m a Maremma x Koolie boy, born 20 December 2025. I weighed 9.3 kg on 10 April and am growing into a strong, capable young dog.
No one knows how I ended up in the pound, but since coming into foster care I’ve shown I'm a loyal, smart and affectionate puppy.
I love being with my people and will happily follow you wherever you go. I’m already showing great recall for my age and really enjoy learning.
Even though I’m still young, I’m a confident little guy. I live with a mature cattle dog and am comfortable around him. I’m not afraid to stand my ground when needed.
There are also horses, goats, sheep and even an alpaca here. Although I’m curious, I’m still learning about them.
Like any puppy, I enjoy toys and a good chew, but I also settle nicely and can relax when things are calm.
Toilet training is coming along really well. I go outside consistently when taken out and I already know how to sit. I’m eager to learn more and would love a family who will continue my training.
🧬 About my breed mix
As a Maremma x Koolie, I bring together two wonderful working breeds:
✓ Maremmas are known for their loyalty, calm nature and strong protective instincts. They are devoted to their people and take their role as guardians seriously.
✓ Koolies are highly intelligent, energetic and eager to work. They thrive on learning, activity and being part of a team.
The result? The best of both worlds — a clever, people-focused dog with a loyal heart and a sharp mind.
Based on my age, current weight and breed mix, I’m likely to grow into a medium–large dog of around 30 kg — give or take a bit!
🏡 My ideal home
Given my breed mix, I’m looking for a home that understands and appreciates working dogs:
✓ Secure, good fencing is essential
✓ A home with another confident dog would be wonderful for companionship and learning
✓ An active household where I can be involved and continue my training
✓ Someone with working dog or guardian breed experience would be highly beneficial
✓ Space to move and explore would be a bonus
I’m a bright, capable young dog with so much potential. With the right guidance, I’m going to grow into a loyal and devoted companion.
My adoption fee includes the cost of my desexing when I am old enough, in accordance with ARK’s deferred desexing program (terms and conditions apply). I’m still far too young for that just yet!
