Look into my eyes and discover the true meaning of love at first sight!

My name is Coco and I am the epitome of true love, unlimited affection and ultimate loyalty.

I am a happy little cherub; happiest, of course, when I can cuddle up next to my human and be smothered with love. I am crate trained, but would really enjoy sleeping in your bed instead. I should warn you though that my legs may only be short, but my body is as long as a stretch limousine, so I take up a considerable portion of your bed space!

I have heard that some dachshund breeds aren't completely toilet trained! Well, I personally find that rather abhorrent and would never toilet inside your home. Even when it's raining, I toddle out onto the grass to do my thing. I have been known to toilet in the pergola area in desperation when it's torrential rain, but never indoors!

I am dog friendly, but can be a little obstreperous about sharing my human. If I am cuddled up with you and another younger furry creature tries to muscle in on my love zone, I will let them know it's my zone. I am very respectful of older dogs and don't try to push them out of my personal space. Quite the opposite actually... I try to lie with them, and cuddle up to them and my person, in one cosy little bundle.

I have a number of doggo friends in my foster home and am completely unaware that I am smaller than my zoom buddies. After all, my stumpy little legs run rings around them, so what difference does size make? I would enjoy having a doggy buddy or be perfectly happy as an only dog, so long as you or your partner are home with me the majority of the time. After all, I am a social little being!

I enjoy going for walks and ignore other dogs when instructed to on outings. I don't even bark back at dogs on the other side of the fence. Why should I waste my precious time bothering about them when they don't even have the courtesy to come over and entertain me?

I am not suited to families with young children as, like all of my breed, I have very delicate spine which could be damaged if I was picked up the wrong way. I think children over 12 years would be fine though.
