Ginger is a beautiful, gentle ginger girl who is full of love and affection once she feels safe and settled. She absolutely adores human company and will bring warmth, joy, and companionship to her new family. While she may take a little time to warm up in a new environment, she quickly becomes incredibly affectionate and trusting. Although she’s not quite a lap cat yet, she loves sitting right beside you and soaking up gentle attention. We’re confident that as she grows more comfortable in her forever home, her affectionate nature will continue to blossom.

Ginger came to us from a loving household where she was very well cared for. Sadly, her previous family had to relocate and could no longer keep her, so they reached out to us for help finding her the perfect new home. She has clearly been raised with kindness and has so much love still to give.

In foster care, Ginger has shown herself to be a relaxed, confident, and adaptable young lady. She explored her new surroundings with curiosity right away and was soon confidently approaching her foster family for attention and making herself comfortable. Her foster carers adore her gentle, tolerant, and non-dominant personality, and they have nothing but wonderful things to say about her.

This sweet girl would make a wonderful addition to almost any home. She is used to living as an only cat but should do well with another cat-friendly feline. She also has a calm and patient nature that makes her suitable for families with young children. Whether you’re a senior looking for a devoted companion, a young couple, or a family wanting a gentle family cat, Ginger has something special to offer.

Ginger is approximately 5.5 years old and has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and is available for adoption right meow.

About Us

Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.

Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.

Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.

As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.

All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.

Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
