About Ginger - Serious Ginger Energy 🧡
Meet Ginger - A spicy, silly, adorable little menace looking for her forever home🧡
Your future housemate, professional troublemaker, and ultimate ginger chaos queen!
This 5.5-year-old vibrant orange lady is the living embodiment of every wonderful, wild stereotype about ginger cats. She’s inquisitive to the max, ridiculously playful, adorably clumsy, and has a genuine talent for getting into places she absolutely shouldn’t. If there’s a box, a shelf, a cupboard, or a precarious ledge, Ginger has already claimed it as her personal adventure zone.
She’s an absolutely adorable little menace in the best possible way. One minute she’s zooming around like a tiny orange tornado, the next she’s flopping dramatically onto the floor in a perfect “pet me” pose.
Her silly antics and endless personality will keep you laughing every single day.
Despite her spicy ginger energy, Ginger is incredibly affectionate and loving. She absolutely adores human company and brings warmth, joy, and constant companionship wherever she goes.
While she may take a quick moment to warm up in a new environment, she quickly turns into a velcro cat who wants to be right by your side soaking up all the gentle attention. She’s not quite a full lap cat yet, but she’s working on it – and we’re confident her loving nature will continue to blossom in her forever home.
Ginger came to us from a loving household where she was very well cared for. Sadly, her previous family had to relocate and could no longer keep her, so they reached out for help finding her the perfect new home. She has clearly been raised with kindness and still has so much love to give.
In foster care, this relaxed, confident, and adaptable young lady explored her new surroundings with curiosity right away. She was soon confidently approaching her foster family for cuddles and making herself completely at home.
Her foster family adore her gentle, tolerant, and non-dominant personality – they have nothing but wonderful things to say about their sweet (but silly) girl.
Perfect for:
An energetic home with plenty going on so she can get all the attention she craves
Young couples or families with young children (her calm and patient nature makes her wonderful with kids)
Homes that already have (or are open to) another cat-friendly feline – she was an only cat before but has the energy to match a buddy
She probably won’t be the ideal match for someone seeking a quiet senior lap cat, but if you want a devoted, silly, and loving companion who will spice up your life, Ginger is your girl!
This sweet, quirky, ginger superstar is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for adoption right meow!
If you think you have the room in your heart (and some sturdy shelves in your home) for this gorgeous little soul and all her delightful chaos, we’d love to hear from you.
Located in Box Hill with her amazing foster family.
Apply now to welcome this affectionate, playful, and wonderfully silly ginger girl into your life – she can’t wait to start her next chapter as the official Queen of Chaos in your home! 🧡✨
About Us
Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.
Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.
Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.
As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.
All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.
Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
How You Can Help
As a small, independent rescue, we depend entirely on the kindness and generosity of our supporters and animal lovers like you. If you would like to support our mission and help us save more lives, please visit the donations page on our website. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference.

Following and sharing our pages helps us reach more potential adopters and supporters. If we can grow our audience, we’ll be able to generate a small ongoing income to sustain and expand the rescue.
We are always in need of foster carers. If you have a safe, loving temporary home and would like to help us care for a cat on their journey to their forever family, please get in touch. The more foster homes we have, the more cats we can save.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about Urban Feline Australia.
Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of many beautiful cats. đź’™

Adoption details
We try to make things very easy and straight forward while at the same time making sure we are matching the right cat to the right home.
The first step in the adoption process is a quick chat over the phone to make you are able meet the cats needs and your home is a good fit for the cats personality.
From there we will organize a meet and greet the cats foster home where you will be able to see the cat in action and get a gauge of their personality.
Once you have adopted you new furry feline friend we offer ongoing support and you are welcome to contact us anytime if you have questions, concerns or need advice.
We work hard to make sure that each cat is a good fit for their new home but in the unlikely even that things do not work out we have a 21 day cooling off period and you are more than welcome to return the cat to us during that time.
We will happily refund 50% of the adoption fee or you are welcome to donate this refund to assist with the ongoing cost of the animals care.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
