About Amber
Amber is a gentle, sensitive girl who has had a challenging journey and is finding shelter life incredibly overwhelming. She came into our care as a stray, bravely raising a litter of kittens, and while she's done an amazing job as a mum, the busy shelter environment has left her feeling frightened and unsure.
Right now, Amber prefers to stay tucked away in places where she feels safe, quietly watching the world from a distance. She may seem withdrawn at first, but this is simply her way of coping. With patience and understanding, her true, gentle nature will begin to shine through.
Amber is cat-friendly and may take comfort in the presence of another calm, confident feline companion. She is looking for a quiet, low-traffic home with someone who can give her the time and space she needs to settle in at her own pace. An experienced adopter, or someone willing to go slow and let Amber build trust gradually, would be ideal.
After everything she's been through, surviving on her own and caring for her kittens, Amber deserves a peaceful home where she can finally feel safe, decompress, and learn what it means to be loved.
Amber is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment. If you can open your heart and home to Amber - or if you're a rescue group able to help - please reach out to us at adoptions@dogshome.com
