About Shakira
Shakira is a truly special little kitten with a big personality and an even bigger heart. With her soft fur, bright eyes, and playful spirit, she brings joy wherever she goes. Shakira loves gentle playtime, cozy naps, and being close to her humans, she’s the kind of companion who will quickly become the centre of your world.
Shakira has cerebellar hypoplasia (wobbly kitten syndrome), a neurological condition that affects her balance and coordination. This means she may wobble, sway, or take a few extra tumbles as she moves around but it’s all part of her unique charm. Importantly, her condition is not painful, not contagious, and generally does not worsen over time. She can live a happy, full life with the right support and environment.
To help her thrive, Shakira will need:
*An indoor-only home where she’ll be safe and protected
*A home with no stairs (or very limited, fully secured ones) to prevent falls
*Soft surfaces like rugs or mats to help with stability
*A calm, patient household that understands her special needs
*Loving humans who can provide supervision and encouragement as she explores
Shakira would do well in a home with another cat, she gains confidence around other felines.
If you think Shakira would be a good match for your home, please fill out an expression of interest form or come down to the Adoption Centre to meet her.
