Meet Bairav – a bundle of energy with a heart full of love!

Bairav is on the lookout for a secure and loving home where he can truly settle in and shine. As he continues his socialisation journey, regular meet-and-greets will help him build confidence and feel at ease. He is very energetic, playful, and absolutely loves belly rubs and scratches. While he understands his boundaries and listens well most of the time, all bets are off when his excitement kicks in, his playful side takes over!

Bairav would do best in a single-dog home, with someone around often at first. He hasn’t shown any separation anxiety and stayed calm when left alone for a few hours. He would likely adapt as he gains confidence in his new environment.

A home with a calm, quiet and secured fence would be ideal, as he loves wandering, sniffing, and playing around. Since he is still learning to socialise with people and other pets, having a backyard space will really support his progress.

He can be vocal when he spots people or dogs out on a walk and needs to be walked on a halti to better respond to this stimulus. This would be an area of focus for his new owners. An experienced, calm, composed owner would be perfect to guide him through this phase.

He has also settled into a lovely night routine, he sleeps comfortably in the living room while we are in our bedrooms. He was a little unsure initially, but once he felt safe and secure, he quickly adapted and now follows the pattern very well.

When he first came to us, Bairav was quite the jumper, Olympics-level high! But within a couple of weeks, we managed to tone that down. That said, he still loves his joyful jumps, especially in the mornings or when welcoming you home.

He listens to commands such as sit, lay down, give paw, and drop (although fetch is still a bit too ambitious for him 😄). He waits patiently for his food, though he’ll definitely remind you when it’s mealtime (quite cleverly, we must say!). He is food-motivated, so maintaining discipline and a consistent routine will be key.

Bairav is a fast learner with high activity levels, making him a great companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. Prior breed experience is not essential, just patience, consistency, and love.

Despite his energy, he also has a soft side, he’s a bit of a couch potato and absolutely loves lounging on his favourite spot. He’s a super sniffer, no scent goes unnoticed! And those magical eyes… well, one look at him and you might just find yourself signing up for an unexpected workout session 😄

He’s clever, friendly, and yes, occasionally a little stubborn when new people are around (selective hearing, perhaps!).

He is toilet trained and very comfortable using pet doors. He behaves well inside the car and is calm.
