Latte

Hi, I’m Latte.

I am a bright, busy girl who loves being part of everything. I like to move, explore, and see what is going on around me, but I also enjoy those quieter moments where I can stretch out and relax near my people.

I get along really well with other dogs. I can come in a bit strong at first, but I settle with guidance. I love being close to my foster sibling Storm and spending time with my siblings. Being part of a little pack feels right to me. I would be happy with another dog, or as your only pet, if you can give me the time and attention I need.

My days are spent enjoying the outdoors. I like to sun bake, find a shady spot in the garden, or wander inside through the dog door to cool off under the fan. I like having the freedom to move between inside and outside and choose what suits me.

I have not met cats or other animals yet, so that would be something new for me. I am still learning about the world and taking it all in.

When it comes to people, I am excited to meet them. I might give a little bark to say hello, but really, I just want attention and connection. I enjoy being around people and being included.

I love my toys: tennis balls, soft toys, and anything I can chase or carry. I will admit I have a cheeky side. If there is a thong or a dust brush nearby, I might decide it belongs to me for a little while.

Training is going well for me. I am very food-motivated and eager to learn. I can sit, and I am working on staying and releasing. I am also learning to walk beside you and respond to hand signals. I like learning. It makes me feel good to understand what you want from me.

Walking on a lead is still something I am getting used to. I am learning that it is safe and not something to worry about. I may feel more comfortable with a harness as I keep learning. Toileting is going well. If I am inside, I need a reminder, and I will head outside. Most of the time I choose the grass on my own.

I am starting to find my voice, but I am not overly noisy. If I bark and you ask me to stop, I listen. I am paying attention. I do have a lot of energy, and I need time each day to run, play, and let it out. Once I have had that, I am happy to settle and relax.

I sleep outside in my kennel and have settled into that routine well.
I am healthy and growing beautifully, with no concerns. I enjoy my food and am doing well.

I do have a few little quirks. I like to use my eyes to communicate, especially if I am being told no. And if I am not getting my way, I might gently stomp my foot on yours to remind you I am there.

If you are willing to put in the time to guide me, train me, and include me in your life, I will give you everything back. I am loyal, eager, and ready to grow into a wonderful companion.
