Hi, I’m Zxander 👋

I’m a pretty good-looking bloke (if I do say so myself) — a pure bred merle Border Collie (no papers, but all the talent 😉), born 18 June 2022.

I’ve previously been a much-loved pet, but through no fault of my own I found myself needing a fresh start. The good news? I’m now with ARK and very much looking forward to finding my forever home.

At the moment, I’m living the country life in a beautiful rural foster home. I spend my days outdoors — checking fences, supervising the yard, and generally making sure everything is running exactly as it should.

There’s a 6-year-old human here and we’re best mates. I follow him around, play fetch with him (and yes, I bring it back every time 🎾 — very important skill), and keep him company on all his adventures.

I get along with just about everyone — big dogs, little dogs, cats, and even livestock. I’ve even tagged along on horse trail rides, which I think makes me quite the all-rounder.

If you sit down, I’ll be right there at your feet. Close enough to keep an eye on you… but not in a clingy way.

I haven’t been living inside in my foster home, so I haven’t had the chance to show off my house manners lately. But as I spent the first part of my life as a pet, I’m expected to remember the drill pretty quickly.

I also haven’t done much lead work recently — but I am a Border Collie, so give me a minute and I’ll have it sorted.

My Ideal Home

✓ A home where I’m included in daily life
✓ Rural or semi-rural would be great (but not essential)
✓ Another dog would be fun, but I’m happy to be your main man
✓ Someone who appreciates a loyal, easygoing companion

I’m the kind of dog who will quietly become your shadow…
your walking buddy…
your “just popping outside, he’s coming too” dog.

I’ve had a home before, and I’d really love to have one again — this time for keeps 💛🐾
