Ranger is a sweet, gentle boy with a quiet charm and an adventurous spirit. We believe he may have been dumped by his previous owners, but despite this, he has remained incredibly kind, trusting, and easy going. 🤍
True to his name, Ranger is curious and confident, always interested in exploring new spaces and taking in the world around him. He enjoys finding peaceful spots to curl up for a nap or birdwatching from the window, and would likely thrive in a home with vertical space to explore. Ranger is currently fostered in a studio apartment.
While he’s more of an independent companion than a clingy lap cat, Ranger still enjoys pats, can be picked up, and will even allow tummy rubs — a big sign of trust. When food is involved, his affectionate side really shines! He becomes a purring machine, weaving around your legs and happily showing his love (he is very food motivated!).
Ranger is also wonderfully social with other animals. He gets along well with other cats and is dog friendly too, making him a fantastic addition to many different types of households. Whether you already have feline friends, a respectful dog, or are looking for a solo companion, Ranger would happily fit into any of these environments.
He’s a quiet and respectful housemate who sleeps peacefully through the night and doesn’t cause any fuss. Ranger would suit someone looking for a calm, gentle companion who enjoys a balance of independence and affection.
Ranger is FIV+, which does not affect his quality of life. FIV positive cats can live long, happy lives and can safely live with FIV negative cats in a typical indoor home, as transmission risk is very low. He has also recently had a dental and is healthy and ready for his forever home.
Ranger’s Favourite Things:

Adoption details
Adopting with Kittie Kat Rescue Inc.
Bringing a new pet into your home is a long-term commitment—both emotionally and financially. Cats can live 15 to 20 years, so it's essential that all family members are prepared to provide love, shelter, and a safe environment for their lifetime. This includes premium nutrition, regular veterinary care, and ensuring they are kept indoors only or have access to a secure, cat-proof outdoor enclosure.
Our Adoption Process:
-Initial Contact & Questionnaire. We’ll start by sending you our adoption questionnaire via email or text message. This helps us understand your home environment and what you're looking for in a feline companion.
-Video Tour. We will require a video tour of your home, focusing on safety features such as secure screens on windows, doors and balconies. Plus, we’d love to see where your new kitty will be set up in their new home!
-Meet & Greet with the Foster Carer. Once your application is complete and approved, we’ll arrange a time for you to meet the cat with their foster carer.
-Adoption & Bringing Your Cat Home. In some cases, if your application is approved and the cat has completed all their vet work, they can go home with you straight after the meet and greet (an adoption fee is payable). Adoption paperwork will follow.
-Settling-In Period & Adoption Finalisation. Every adoption includes a two-week settling-in period from the time of adoption. If, for any reason, your new cat isn’t the right fit for your home, you can return them within this period for a 50% refund of the adoption fee.
-All of our cats come microchipped, desexed, with one or more vaccinations, and will be lifetime registered. Depending on their age, kittens may need their second (and potentially third) vaccination undertaken by the adopter after adoption. The transfer of ownership is completed as soon as possible.
Adoption fees:
-Kittens: $350
-Cats 1 - 3 Years: $275
-Cats 3 Years+: $200
All adoptions will also carry a lifetime registration/admin fee of $50 on top of the above adoption price.
