Meet Luna – A Bright Young Kelpie Ready for an Active Home

Luna is a lively young Kelpie with a sharp mind and an energetic spirit. Like many working breeds, she thrives when she has plenty of physical activity and mental stimulation in her daily routine. Luna is looking for a home with an active family who understands working breeds, or who has taken the time to learn how to meet the needs of an intelligent and energetic dog like her.

Luna would love a home where she can be included in adventures such as walks, runs, hikes, training sessions, and interactive games. She enjoys using both her body and her brain, and regular enrichment will help keep her happy and fulfilled.

Due to her natural herding and chasing instincts, Luna would be best suited to a home with older children who can understand her play style and give her appropriate space when needed. She can become excited during play and may instinctively chase movement, which is very typical for her breed.

Luna is social with other dogs and enjoys interacting with them, however she would do best with a well-matched canine companion who shares a similar energy level and play style. Some dogs may not enjoy her active chase-style play, so a compatible match will help ensure positive interactions.

Because of her prey drive, Luna is not suited to a home with cats or pocket pets.

Luna will also need a home that can provide both indoor and outdoor access. She enjoys being part of family life inside the home but also benefits from having a safe outdoor space where she can stretch her legs, explore, and relax.

With the right active and experienced family, Luna has all the makings of a fun, loyal, and deeply rewarding companion who will happily join in on all of life’s adventures.
