About Cooper The Greyhound
* currently living in a home
* living with children
Hi, I’m Cooper!
I’m a 4-year-old black boy, and yes, I am a very big boy indeed! Tall, handsome, and rather hard to miss, I tend to make quite an impression wherever I go. But while I may look large and imposing at first glance, it doesn’t take long to see that underneath all that height is an absolute sweetheart.
I’m a gentle, affectionate boy who really loves people. Pats are one of my great passions, and in most situations I would much rather stay close to you and soak up some affection than go charging around like a lunatic! I’m especially lovely with children of all ages, and when I’m around little ones I’m beautifully calm and gentle, with the occasional soft tail wag to show how pleased I am to be included.
I also walk beautifully on lead, which only adds to my gentlemanly charm. Even when I’m off lead in the (safely enclosed!) garden, I tend to stay close to my humans, quietly following along and keeping them company. While I’m not averse to a bit of playtime, I’m much more interested in whatever you’re doing, particularly if it involves pats.
Now, while I’m not generally known as a toy enthusiast, I do occasionally form a deep and meaningful attachment to a particular item. Yesterday, for example, it was a soft stuffed whale, and I was very taken with it. So while I’m not what you’d call a dedicated toy boy, I do like to keep everyone guessing!
I’m very calm with other greyhounds and would be perfectly happy living with another hound. Smaller dogs are still a little new to me, and while I’ll likely become more comfortable with a bit more exposure, for the moment I’d do best in a home without one.
I’m basically a big, handsome boy with beautiful manners, a gentle heart and the sweet soul of a true gentleman, just looking for a forever home of my very own.
