Meet Samson – a cat with the softest fur and the biggest heart.

If ever a cat deserved a second
chance, it’s Samson.
At around 2 years old, Samson was once a stray, and while we don’t know exactly what happened to him before he came into care, it’s clear that life wasn’t always kind to him. The remarkable thing is that he hasn’t let that define him. Instead, he’s become one of the sweetest, most affectionate cats you could hope to meet, and he seems genuinely grateful to have a safe home and people to love.

His long, silky fur is as beautiful as it is soft. He adores being brushed and will happily soak up all the attention you can give him.

He is incredibly people-oriented and simply loves being near his humans. Whether he’s curling up beside you on the couch, asking for chin rubs, or following you around the house, Samson just wants to be part of your day. He comes when called, has lovely manners, and understands when he’s told “no.” He’s also been a perfect gentleman with his cardboard scratcher and hasn’t shown any interest in scratching the furniture.

Being a former stray, Samson has an enthusiastic appreciation for mealtimes and would happily eat all day if he were allowed! He’s also discovered the joys of indoor life, including his favourite water fountain and, after a little practice, toys. Watching him learn how to play was incredibly rewarding, and he now has plenty of playful, energetic moments that remind you he’s still a young cat.

Samson is FIV positive, but please don’t let that put you off. FIV-positive cats can live long, happy, healthy lives with good care, and Samson is currently in excellent health. FIV isn’t a barrier to enjoying a wonderful life—it simply means he’ll need to be kept safely indoors (or in a secure outdoor enclosure) and receive the same routine veterinary care every cherished family member deserves.

More than anything, Samson is looking for someone who will give him the love and security he’s missed for much of his life. In return, he’ll reward you with unwavering companionship, endless affection, and the quiet gratitude of a cat who knows just how lucky he is to be home.
