About Chai
Hi, I’m Chai.
I am a confident little girl who knows how to enjoy life. I love people, I love playtime, and I love being right in the middle of whatever is going on. When visitors come over, I am not shy. I am straight in, soaking up the attention and making new friends.
I live with other dogs and get along really well with them. I adore our dog Nessie and my sister, and I love curling up with them for a nap after a good play session. I can be a little bit bossy at times, but it is all part of my confident personality, and it is nothing over the top. I just like to be involved.
I would be happy in a home with another dog, or as your only pet, as long as I have plenty of human interaction. Being part of the family is important to me.
My days are a mix of play and rest. I spend time outside while my people are at work, then enjoy both inside and outside time when they are home. I love a good run around the yard, a wrestling match through the house, and then a soft place to flop and relax.
I have not met any cats or other animals yet, but I am curious, and with slow introductions, I would learn quickly. Everything is still new to me.
Playtime is one of my favourite things. I love chasing my foster sister Nessie when she chases the ball, and I am starting to understand how the whole ball game works. I have plenty of chew toys, but the broom might be my favourite thing to chase. It just moves in a very interesting way.
I am learning my training and doing well. I am very food-motivated, which helps a lot. I can sit and come when called, and I am starting to learn more. I want to get it right, and I am trying hard.
Toileting is going well. I had a few accidents at the start, but I now use the dog door and go outside. I am getting the hang of it.
Walking on a lead is still something I am figuring out. At the moment, the lead itself seems more fun to play with than walking nicely, but I am getting used to wearing a collar and learning step by step.
I have a playful energy, but also love to relax. After a busy day, I am very happy to stretch out and have a good rest. I sleep outside on my bed and have settled into a nice routine.
I am healthy, happy, and growing well. No concerns, just a young puppy learning about the world.
I have a quirky side. I will use the dog door even when the main door is open. I like doing things my own way.
If you are looking for a puppy who is confident, affectionate, cheeky, and full of personality, I would be the perfect fit for your home.
