Marli

Marli is an approximately 18-month-old Rottweiler x Cane Corso with a big body, a soft heart and the gentlest soul you could hope to meet. She is an absolute sweetheart who has already been through far more than any young dog should, and now she is looking for what she has always deserved, a calm, loving home where she can finally exhale.

Marli has come from an incredibly tough home situation, and while she has so much love to give, she is a very sensitive girl who needs a family that understands just how important safety and kindness are to her. Loud voices, yelling, harsh handling and aggressive tones are deeply frightening for Marli, and because of her history, she will need an exceptionally calm household where positive reinforcement, patience and gentle guidance are non-negotiable. She is not a dog who needs "tough love" she needs soft voices, predictable routines and people who will help her rebuild trust at her own pace.

Despite everything she has been through, Marli remains a truly lovely dog. She is affectionate, sweet-natured and has such a tender way about her that makes it impossible not to fall for her. She is the kind of dog who just wants to feel safe, loved and included, and once she knows she can trust you, she has all the makings of an incredibly loyal and devoted companion.

Marli is looking for a single-dog household, where she can soak up all the love and attention for herself. She has been through enough and is ready to be someone's whole world. She may be able to live with young children, pending they are dog savvy, respectful and able to understand that Marli needs a peaceful environment and gentle interactions. A busy, chaotic or noisy home will not be the right fit for this special girl.

While in our care, Marli has also had surgery to help correct her eyes, and she has handled everything with such quiet bravery. She has done her time being resilient and now it is her turn to be absolutely, unapologetically spoiled. We are looking for the kind of home that will give her the comfy bed, the gentle routine, the tasty treats and the steady affection she has always deserved.

Marli is not looking for perfection. She is looking for peace. She is looking for someone who will see her for the beautiful, sensitive, loving girl she is and give her the chance to finally feel safe in the world.
