About Sasha (68531)
Sasha is a stunning and intelligent 4-year-old German Shepherd looking for a calm, experienced home where she can feel safe, understood, and truly thrive. Once she forms a bond, Sasha shows her affectionate and loyal nature, becoming a deeply rewarding companion. She is a clever girl with a solid foundation of training already in place-she knows a range of cues including sit, stay, come, leave, and more. Sasha is also house trained, crate trained, and comfortable being left alone for periods, making her a great fit for a structured home. Sasha can be sensitive, particularly when it comes to handling around her neck and ears, and may feel unsure with unfamiliar people. Because of this, she will need a patient owner who can take things slowly and build trust at her pace. In the right environment, she relaxes beautifully and allows handling once she feels comfortable. While Sasha has shown she can socialise with other dogs, she can sometimes misread social cues and has had some challenges in a home setting. For this reason, she is best suited as the only dog, where she can enjoy a stable and predictable environment. Sasha enjoys her walks and generally has nice leash manners, though she may become reactive when she feels unsure around other dogs. Continued positive training and guidance will help her build confidence out and about. Due to her sensitivities and need for understanding handling, Sasha would be best suited to an adult-only home or one without children. She would thrive with an owner who has experience with shepherds or similar breeds and can provide clear boundaries, ongoing training, and plenty of enrichment. Sasha also has a known chicken allergy and may require ongoing management of her skin, but with the right care, she can continue to live a happy and comfortable life. With patience, structure, and a loving home, Sasha has so much to give-her loyalty and companionship will make all the effort worthwhile.
