About Bowie (65798)
Bowie is a fun-loving, high-energy Red Heeler who is ready to find an active home that can keep up with his zest for life! This happy, affectionate boy is great with people and loves being part of the action. He's an enthusiastic companion who thrives when included in daily activities-whether that's walks, adventures, or simply hanging out with his humans. Bowie has lived in a home and settled in well, but has recently been returned through no fault of his own due to changing circumstances. He has proven himself to be a resilient and adaptable dog who just needs the right match to truly thrive. He is very social with other dogs and enjoys a good rough-and-tumble play, so he may suit living with a well-matched, playful dog who shares his energy. Bowie does best with dogs that can match his style and help him burn off energy in a positive way. On lead, Bowie can be strong and excitable-especially when he sees other dogs-as he has learned to expect playtime with every encounter. He will need an owner committed to ongoing training and consistent boundaries to help him develop calm walking skills and better manners. Bowie would suit an active home that can provide plenty of physical exercise, mental stimulation, and structure. He's not a couch potato-he's a dog who wants to do things with his people. He may be suitable for a home with older children (10+) who can understand his bouncy nature. With the right guidance, routine, and outlet for his energy, Bowie will make a loyal, fun, and adventurous companion.
