About Jake
*In foster care in Campsie, Sydney*
Beautiful boy Jake is all about the simple life - good food and good company are all he needs to achieve his purrsonal nirvana!
Playful and placid, Jake has a very sweet temperament, and likes to show his love by hanging out nearby and allowing pats while he's eating :) When he's feeling especially needy he might even join you for a cuddle on your lap!
Jake seems to really enjoy the indoor life after spending his first months as a stray, so we think he'll be happiest as an indoor-only cat, potentially with access to a secure outdoor enclosure.
He also likes dangly wands, toy mice and balls, and the smell of salmon :) It really is the small things that mean the most to this gorgeous fellow!
Like all Maggie’s pets, Jake is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... is with a patient and kind single person or couple, or maybe a family with one older child (10+). I like to watch the other cats in my foster home, so if you have a resident cat with relaxed energy who you think I'd get along with, that might be nice too!
I'm not too keen on sudden movements or noises, so hopefully my new home will be peaceful and calm - a place where I can build my confidence at my own pace. I'm a curious guy, but I prefer to observe people and activity from a safe distance, with no pressure.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm the perfect housemate - quiet and chill (unless I can see food about to be served!), and not boisterous at all, despite my youth. I'm happy to play with my toys independently, though it's always fun when you dangle the wand for me to chase :)
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: An adults-only home will be best for me I think, but an older, patient child who'll let me guide our interactions might be OK.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: The odds are good that I'd get along with a calm cat who respects my space.
I haven't met any dogs yet, but loud or dominant ones are a definite no thanks! If you've got a quiet, low-key one, I'm open to meeting them and seeing if it's a match.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
