About Douglas
Cavoodle | Affectionate, Clever & Full of Character
Douglas is a little dog with a big personality. He’s loving, cheeky, highly intelligent, and full of life. Playful and excitable, he learns quickly — which makes him both a joy and a dog who needs thoughtful guidance.
He can be a little fearful at times and tends to learn quickly — both the good and the not-so-helpful habits — so consistency and reassurance are important. In the right home, this makes him an incredibly rewarding dog to work with.
Douglas is a sensitive boy with his own opinions. He doesn’t enjoy unsolicited pats from strangers and can be wary of unfamiliar people, children, or dogs he feels unsure about. He will let you know when he’s uncomfortable, so he needs a calm, confident owner who understands boundaries, consent-based handling, and positive reinforcement. He is very trainable and, with the right guidance, continues to learn and grow beautifully.
At his core, Douglas is all about his people. He’s an affectionate shadow who loves deeply and wants to be involved in everything you do. He thrives on connection and would suit a home where someone is around most of the time. He also really enjoys the company of other dogs and would love a canine friend of a similar size and temperament to share his world with.
He loves his toys, playtime, and spending time with his humans, as well as social outings like dog daycare and boarding at Cavoodle experienced, Mini Paws BNB, where he mixes with his friends.
Douglas also brings plenty of entertainment to the household. He sleeps on his back with his legs crossed like a little otter, and his love of his ball and the ways he solicits play with the humans. Don't take the ball, but please throw it!
Douglas is looking for a committed, patient home where he can form a strong bond with his person — someone who will meet him halfway and enjoy the deep connection he offers in return. We would prefer a home with experience with cavoodles or poodles.
In the right home, Douglas won’t just be a pet — he’ll be your devoted little companion.
Medical notes
Douglas is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations and parasite control.
He is on medication for anxiety and is doing well.

Please note all our animals are in private foster homes. We do not have a shelter. Therefore all meets are by appointment only.
