About Pop
Fourteen-month-old Pop came into our care through no fault of his own - and no fault of his previous humans. Sadly, even after Pop and his companion Mocha were moved into a larger enclosure with multiple houses, Mocha began relentlessly chasing Pop. When this resulted in Pop sustaining a bloodied nose, we had to make the difficult decision to separate them for Pop’s safety. Situations like this can sometimes happen as male guinea pigs mature and group dynamics change, particularly during times of stress or transition. It doesn’t make Mocha a “bad” pig - it simply means the pairing was no longer working. Do you have a lonely boy who could use a pal? We offer bonding trials to make sure the match is a happy one.
