About Queenie
Meet Queenie, a delightful two-year-old Dachshund who may be small in stature at just 4.4kg, but she possesses a heart full of potential love and companionship. This gentle lady has a timid personality but is on the brink of truly coming into her own with the right environment. Her affectionate nature is waiting to bloom, and with the help of a loving home, she will make an adorable addition to a household prepared to nurture her gentle spirit.
Queenie would thrive in a quiet, serene environment where she can truly relax and find her footing. Ideally, her new family would have another small and friendly dog, as she finds comfort and confidence in canine companionship. While Queenie is a bit shy with new people and situations, the presence of another furry friend will help her break out of her shell, allowing her true personality to shine through. Queenie is seeking a home with older children, preferably aged 12 and above, who can understand and respect her need for a gentle approach and patience.
As you open your heart and home to Queenie, you'll discover the joy of watching this timid beauty blossom into the happy, playful companion you’ve been wishing for. With kindness, understanding, and a dash of patience, you and Queenie will embark on a journey of friendship and trust that will be rewarding beyond measure.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
