About Tom
Tom is a gentle little soul with the sweetest nature. While he may be a little shy at first, once he feels safe and loved, his affectionate personality truly shines.
This lovely boy absolutely adores attention and will happily soak up all the pats you’re willing to give. In fact, Tom loves being fussed over so much that if you walk past without acknowledging him, he may give you a little sulky look to remind you that he deserves some love too. His two favorite things in life are pats and tasty treats, and he’s always delighted when both are on offer.
Tom is a sensitive boy who would thrive in a quiet, calm household where he can feel secure and relaxed. Loud environments can make him a little unsure, but in a peaceful home with a loving adopter, he blossoms into the most wonderful companion.
Tom also loves to join you on the couch and sit closely beside you, making contact while you relax, happily keeping you company while you watch a movie or your favorite TV show.
Tom would be more than happy to be the only cat in the household, soaking up all the love and attention for himself. However, he has also been tested with other cats and is cat friendly, so he could settle into a home with a gentle feline companion.
Once he has had the chance to come out of his shell, Tom becomes a devoted, affectionate little cuddle buddy who enjoys curling up beside you and sharing quiet moments together. For someone looking for a sweet, gentle cat who will truly appreciate their love and attention, Tom will make the most rewarding companion.
Medical notes
Dental Surgery Performed
Tom had dental disease upon arriving at OOTW. As this condition was negatively impacting his welfare, a dental scale and polish as well as any necessary extractions have been performed under general anesthesia.
Adoption details
All animals adopted through Out of the Woods Rescue are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated and health-checked. We aim to match each animal with a home that suits their needs and personality.
Here’s how our adoption process works:
Submit an application – This helps us get to know you, your household and what you're looking for in a pet.
Phone chat – If your application looks like a potential fit, one of our team members will contact you for a casual phone conversation to answer questions and discuss the animal in more detail.
Meet and greet – You’ll meet the animal in their foster home or another agreed location. If everyone agrees it’s a good match, we can proceed to adoption.
Adoption paperwork and payment – Our adoption fees cover desexing, microchipping, vaccination and parasite treatment.
Once adopted, the animal becomes part of your family. We're still here for post-adoption support if you ever need any help.
We’re committed to ethical adoptions and reserve the right to decline applications if we feel the match isn’t in the best interest of the animal.
