About Sunny The Cuddle Champion
Sunny Needs a Built-In Bestie: This Cuddle Champion Refuses to Be a Solo Act!
Meet Sunny your future orange chaos agent and ultimate snuggle champion! This ridiculously adorable 14 month old ginger tabby is a total heart-melter with big golden eyes, the softest fur, and a personality that’s equal parts gentle lovebug and zoomie legend.
He’s incredibly affectionate, a certified chest-sleeper who’ll purr his way under your chin and melt into your lap once he trusts you. But here’s the non-negotiable truth bomb: Sunny only shines as part of a dynamic duo.
This little dude is not looking for a one-cat kingdom. He needs a home that already has an existing cat, preferably a friendly, playful one around his age who’s ready for a permanent wrestling partner and mischief-making sibling.
Why the strict “must already have a cat” rule? Because Sunny is currently head-over-paws bonded with his foster brother Jasper. These two are inseparable, constantly wrestling, chasing each other, grooming, and getting into delightful trouble together.
Sunny lights up like a fireworks show whenever there’s another cat around. Imagine him and his new bestie tearing through the house like tiny furry tornadoes, tag-teaming sunbeams, plotting midnight zoomie missions, and then collapsing into one giant purring pile. One cat is cute. Sunny + cat sibling = comedy gold and endless entertainment.
Sunny comes from a loving home with young children, so he’s gentle, family-friendly, and great with kids. He was deeply loved but had to be rehomed due to serious allergies. In foster care, he started off a little shy with new people (totally normal), but once he warms up? Prepare for unlimited affection, bed-sharing, and devoted lap time. He’s energetic, playful, and thrives in a busy home with plenty of stimulation and interactive play.
Repeated PSA with love and giggles:
Sunny is only available to homes that already have a cat! He’s not interested in being an only child. He wants a built-in best friend to run around with, a sibling to wrestle and chase, and a companion to share his daily adventures. He’ll be your current cat’s new favorite (and most annoying) little brother.
If your resident kitty has been secretly wishing for a silly orange sidekick to share toys, zoomies, and cuddly naps with, this is your sign. Sunny is social, loving, and ready to form deep bonds with both you and his new feline sibling.
Sunny is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready to bring double the joy to the right multi-cat home. Located in Balaclava with his amazing foster carers.
If you already have a friendly cat and think your home would be perfect for this adorable duo-in-waiting, send us a message with your details! We’ll give you a call to chat and arrange a meet-and-greet so you (and your cat) can fall in love with Sunny.
He comes with toys, love, and a lifetime supply of dramatic zoomie announcements. Apply only if you’re ready to welcome a loving little brother for your existing cat, because Sunny refuses to do life solo! 🐱✨
About Us
Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.
Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.
Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.
As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.
All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care, including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.
Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
How You Can Help
As a small, independent rescue, we depend entirely on the kindness and generosity of our supporters and animal lovers like you. Following and sharing our pages helps us reach more potential adopters and supporters. If we can grow our audience, we’ll be able to generate a small ongoing income to sustain and expand the rescue.
We are always in need of foster carers. If you have a safe, loving temporary home and would like to help us care for a cat on their journey to their forever family, please get in touch. The more foster homes we have, the more cats we can save.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about Urban Feline Australia.
Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of many beautiful cats. 💙
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
When Sunny first arrived into foster care, he was quite dirty, a little malnourished, and was losing some fur. However, with the dedicated love and care of his incredible foster mum, he has transformed beautifully. He has gained a healthy amount of weight, his energy has returned in full force, and his coat and skin are now looking so much better. She even gives him regular medicated baths, which he bravely tolerates like a true champion, even though he’s not a fan of bath time.

Adoption details
We try to make things very easy and straight forward while at the same time making sure we are matching the right cat to the right home.
The first step in the adoption process is a quick chat over the phone to make you are able meet the cats needs and your home is a good fit for the cats personality.
From there we will organize a meet and greet the cats foster home where you will be able to see the cat in action and get a gauge of their personality.
Once you have adopted you new furry feline friend we offer ongoing support and you are welcome to contact us anytime if you have questions, concerns or need advice.
We work hard to make sure that each cat is a good fit for their new home but in the unlikely even that things do not work out we have a 21 day cooling off period and you are more than welcome to return the cat to us during that time.
We will happily refund 50% of the adoption fee or you are welcome to donate this refund to assist with the ongoing cost of the animals care.
