If ever a dog lived up to his name, it's Boof - a gorgeous, boofy‑headed Bullmastiff mix with a heart the size of Queensland. He's stunning, he's goofy, he's affectionate... and he's finally ready for the life he always deserved.
💔 A tough past, a brighter future
Before coming into care, Boof's world was small and lonely. He was often left without food, never knowing when his next meal would come. He lived outside, longing for the people he adored but wasn't allowed to be close to.
For a dog as people‑loving as Boof, that would have been heartbreaking.
But here's the beautiful part:
Despite everything, Boof is still gentle, still hopeful, still full of love to give.
💛 What Boof is like now
This boy is a walking cuddle machine. He gives big hugs, has a big smile, and an even bigger whippy tail - mind your drinks, because that thing has its own postcode.
He can get a bit jumpy when excited (he just feels feelings very loudly), but he's eager to learn and even easier to love.
And the best bit?
He is a dream to walk.
For such a big lad, his leash manners are incredible - it's like strolling down the street with your own personal bodyguard who also happens to be a marshmallow.
🐶 Could Boof live with another dog?
Absolutely.
Boof sometimes yodels with sadness when left alone, so a friendly dog companion may help him feel safe and settled when his humans aren't home.

Enquiries sent through PetRescue will NOT be answered. Please follow the process below
1) Please note the name of the animal you're interested in
2) Visit the RSPCA Queensland adoption site at www.rspcaqld.org.au/adopt
3) Search for the animal either by type or location
4) View the animal's profile, and click the link to submit an application
5) RSPCA staff will contact you to inform you about the outcome of your application and to talk through the next steps if your application is successful!
