About Hala (68068)
Hala came into our care as a stray and, sadly, was never reclaimed. Initially wary and unsure, she has since come out of her shell and revealed herself to be an affectionate and gentle girl who enjoys human company - though she can sometimes forget just how big she is (over 50kgs to be precise!).
As a giant livestock guardian breed, Hala is looking for a knowledgeable home with experience in similar breeds. She will require very secure fencing and a property that allows her the space and opportunity to express her natural guardian instincts. Hala is not suited to a suburban or townhouse setting.
She may be suited to living with a well-matched male dog of a similar breed and temperament. Due to her size and strength, she can be powerful on lead at times and is known to place her paws on shoulders when greeting, so she will need a confident, physically capable handler while these behaviours continue to be refined.
Hala may also need guidance transitioning into an indoor/outdoor lifestyle. With the right environment, structure, and understanding, she has all the makings of a loyal and devoted companion.
