About Prince
Meet Prince, an endearing big boy with a heart waiting to blossom with love and understanding. While he may appear shy and a little unsure of the world at first, don’t let his initial nerves fool you. Beneath that exterior is a gentle spirit ready to win you over with patience and kindness.
Prince is a 13-month-old Border Collie cross with a remarkable presence that becomes more noticeable as he gains confidence. He may not require loads of exercise, but he relishes his moments of freedom during off-leash play. He's a creature of routine, so gentle, routine-based interaction and the soothing sound of a kind voice can work wonders in making him feel at ease. With time, Prince will thrive in a nurturing environment.
Although Prince can be cautious around new people and situations, he finds confidence by following his sister’s lead. Gradually, he opens up, and his gentle, sweet nature shines through, revealing a loyal companion eager to be part of the family. It will take time to gain his trust, but once he feels safe, he will reward you with a bond like no other.
Prince has been thriving at True Blue Dog behaviour & training and has come so far in such a short time since he and his sister were rescued.
The ideal home for Prince would be one with dog-savvy individuals who understand his need for time and space and can offer him a serene and predictable environment. Older children are best suited for his situation, and although he's not fond of cats, he seems to find solace in the company of another dog after proper introductions.
If you have a calm household with understanding, older children and potentially another gentle canine guide, Prince might be the perfect addition to your family. With love, patience, and empathy, Prince is bound to flourish into a cherished member of your home.
