Beautiful Bruce is the definition of a gentle giant. This handsome fella has recently come into care and is looking for his forever home.
Bruce has a generally calm and chill vibe to him - he is big lover boy who just wants to be close to his humans. He would suit someone that is home more often than not as he is a bit clingy and craves attention from his people. Having said that he is fine on his own during the day - not destructive or escaping - will just be very talkative when you get home to let you know how much he has missed you!
Bruce is currently living with another large dog with no issues. Being over the puppy stage he is not a super playful guy, more coexisting with the other dog in the household with his real focus being to the people in his life. He knows the basics like sit and stay; he walks well on a lead and doesn't get distracted easily, although being a big strong boy he can pull a bit - walking him on a halti will make it more manageable. Despite his appearance he isn't the world's best watch dog, although his size and tough facade would likely be a good deterrent to any would-be intruders.
Bruce hasn't had much exposure to children and has seemed a bit on edge when he has met them before, so a home with no children would be best for him. With time and structured socialisation he may be ok with them eventually, however for now an adults-only home is needed.
If you're looking for a loyal and protective over-sized lap dog, look no further than Bruce.
Bruce is $350 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated, heartworm tested (negative), and given flea/tick/worm prevention.
