Beautiful Bruce is the definition of a gentle giant. This handsome fella has recently come into care and is looking for his forever home.

Bruce has a generally calm and chill vibe to him - he is big lover boy who just wants to be close to his humans. He would suit someone that is home more often than not as he is a bit clingy and craves attention from his people. Having said that he is fine on his own during the day - not destructive or escaping - will just be very talkative when you get home to let you know how much he has missed you!

Bruce has lived with dogs before - some he has got along with and some not. We think he would be best suited to being the only dog in the household as he has a tendency to be dominant. He will need an owner that can be the 'alpha' with him and enforce firm boundaries, or else he will try to be the boss.

Bruce knows the basics like sit and stay; he walks well on a lead and doesn't get distracted easily, although being a big strong boy he can pull a bit - walking him on a halti will make it more manageable. Despite his appearance he isn't the world's best watch dog, although his size and tough facade would likely be a good deterrent to any would-be intruders.

Bruce hasn't had much exposure to children and he has been a bit on edge at times when he has met them before, so a home with no children would be best for him. With time and structured/supervised socialisation he may be ok with them eventually, however for now an adults-only home is needed.

Bruce is $350 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated, heartworm tested (negative), and given flea/tick/worm prevention.
